Howdy, all! A few years ago I bought one of the Remington AR-15 pattern rifles, but I can't find any information about it. It is stamped with the model number R-30, and is chambered in caliber .30 Remington AR. Has anyone heard of this model anywhere else? Its not a model R-15, it is stamped model R-30.

That is legitimately uncommon. The R-15 got all the attention and the R-30 in .30 Remington AR just kind of disappeared from the conversation. Remington made them but they never seemed to catch on and information about them dried up fast. You might find a few mentions in old forum posts or maybe a YouTube video from someone who picked one up years ago but that's about it. Do you have a photo of the receiver or that model stamp? The markings on these older AR pattern rifles can tell you quite a bit about the actual production window.
